To value your jewellery requires in depth gemmological knowledge along with manufacturing techniques and market trends. Natasha is a qualified gemmologist and NCJV registered valuer here in Toowoomba, Queensland. All valuations come with an in-depth description of your jewellery along with a digital photo and of course its current under mentioned value. All gems and or diamonds get thoroughly tested to ensure of its nature whether it be natural, synthetic or created. Some of the testing equipment used include: 10x loupe, microscope, spectroscope, dichroscope, polariscope, UV lamps both long and short wave, refractometer, diamond tester and synthetic diamond tester to name a few which is why we require time for the testing of your jewellery, (Please note that gems are not removed to test unless prior consent is given).
All your gems/diamonds are measured and an estimated carat weight reported. Your gold and or metal is tested to ensure its caratage. We then look at your piece of jewellery to determine its method of manufacture albeit handmade, cast or CAD cast, machine made. We will report on the type of settings and will also inspect your jewellery for wear and tear and notify on consultation if repairs need to be carried out by our in-house manufacturing jeweller with a detailed quote. Once all processes are adhered to then a valuation is reported with a digital photograph and our NCJV stamp and signature.
Don’t take a chance on your jewellery. Checking your insurer to ensure that your valuable assets are insured correctly, some insurers require a valuation report to be completed every 2-3 years and also if your jewellery item is valued over $1000 then this may need to be specified separately with your insurer.
When you arrive for your consultation, we will determine the purpose of your valuation albeit for your insurance, superannuation investment, selling on a 2nd hand market, deceased estates, divorce settlements, quality assessment report on your jewellery or post loss assessment reports to give to your insurer for payout.
